Doing some serious couch rotting...
Ok...I hafnt bathed the whole day...I meant to do it after my afternoon run but the rain wouldnt let up...So it was like 4pm and i told myself i'd wait an hour for it to stop but it didnt...Then i told myself i'd wait another and it still din stop so whaddya know...I ended up doing some serious couch rotting that i had meant to do for a long time now...I deserve this...This lazying around with some nonsense playing on TV and the rain falling outside...This guiltless indulgence of nothingness that is such a bloody simple pleasure but which we, as busy Singaporeans, are disgustingly deprived of...My mum was about to ask me to clear my room...I din exactly hear it but i could sense it comin when she walked out of my room holding two clothes hangers in her hands...I only heard "Shaun, can you..." and i covered my ears singing "OH WHAT A BEEAAUUUTIFUUUULLL MOOOORRRNIIIINNNGG!!!" Then during lunch, my dad was like "Shaun, this afternoon let's fix Char's (my sis) display cupboard...It would be our project during the hols". I really REALLY resent that...REALLY!!! I mean it's as if i din have enuff projects to do during school term and he just had to add some to the hols to fill it up as well. And it's not like i wun help him fix it but do we really have to do this just 3 days after the end of my exams? Why is Singaporean culture like that? Why izit that people are terrified at the prospect of having nothing to do or of others doin nothing for that matter? I just dun get it...I worked hard for this break and i intend to do with it whatever i choose to even if it means not bathing for a whole day...
