Mitch's Birthday!!!

2day was my church's community service day and boy, did it bring out the ugly side of some Singaporeans...Just mention the word "free" and they're there like bees to honey...Wait a minute...Shouldnt it be bees to flowers? Anyway, this guy some how managed to find like 18 coupons for free cornetto ice-cream and he took away 18 cones at one go...I mean like have some dignity please...Doesn't mean buffet only that you can take the entire tray away from the buffet table rite...

Overall though, it was pretty fun...I helped out at the water dunking game station where hitting a red target successfully would result in a church member being dunked into a pool of water...But that to me wasnt exactly the fun part...It was marshalling people around, giving out prizes and stuff that i loved...What can i say...I just love organizing stuff...

Then it was off to Mitch's birthday party. Mitch (Pet name for Michelle Kwok Lui Yu) is my childhood fren cos our mums are more or less childhood frens too and we grew up together in Bedok Court condominium...We used to cycle, blade and watch movies together and i remember there was once my sister was "tong-panging" Mitch on her bike when she fell, cosing Mitchie Kwokie to scrap her knees...Then there was that trip to Cameron Highlands when Mitch was very little and she would hold up a book and pretend to read it...We knew she was only pretending cos she would say out loud "A-peas-a-cos-a-peas-a-cos" which made absolute zero sense.

At the party at her place, i managed to see her brother Daniel whom i haf not seen for about 4 years...It was strange cos when i actually met him face to face and said hi he totally ignored me and looked around me at my mum instead...I haf no idea wat to make of that but the last time i remembered i dun recall havin done anything to offend him...Actualli, i'm more pissed off then anything cos i resent being treated like i'm invisible...I'm kinda kickin myself 4 not having said something like "HI!!! I'M SHAUN, REMEMBER?!" Or maybe that was it...Maybe he genuinely forgot...I dun know but i just need to get this out of my system.

Mitch makes a mean apple crumble pie...I din take a photo of it though but it was good...That said, i was very bored. I knew the people there but they were more or less doin they're own thing. Watching tv in a room, reading newspaper etc. And the birthday girl was so busy baking that she din haf time to sit down and interact with her guests...Classic Mary and Martha case. Anyhow, i just wanna wish Mitch a very happy birthday! Hope this coming year will be a God-blessed one for you and that you will continue to walk close to Him always...Happy 22nd Birthday!
